Annesley Williams Škoda is proud to continue its support of Irish professional golf as title sponsor of the sixth Annesley Williams Škoda 9-Hole Matchplay Championship, taking place at Sutton Golf Club on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September 2026.
Having supported the tournament since its inaugural staging in 2019, Annesley Williams will once again welcome 32 of Ireland’s leading PGA Professionals to Sutton’s classic nine-hole links at Cush Point. A €20,000 prize fund will be on offer, with all 32 competitors guaranteed a share.
The championship will bring the PGA in Ireland season to a close and determine the final standings in the Elavon Order of Merit, ensuring there is plenty at stake across the weekend.
For Annesley Williams, the sponsorship continues a partnership with a club close to home and to the company itself. Managing Director Cian Bennis is a former captain of Sutton Golf Club, adding a personal connection to the dealership’s longstanding support.
“This event has become a real highlight of the Irish PGA season,” said Cian Bennis, Managing Director at Annesley Williams.
The weekend begins with a Pro-Am on Friday 25 September, ahead of the championship action on Saturday. The field will be divided into eight groups of four for a round-robin competition, before Sunday’s knockout stages decide the champion.
Roganstown’s Neil O’Briain returns to defend his title at an event conceived by Sutton Head Professional Paddy Devine, building on the club’s long association with the PGA in Ireland.
Annesley Williams invites customers, golf enthusiasts and members of the local community to come along and enjoy the action. Admission is free throughout the championship weekend, offering spectators the opportunity to watch some of Ireland’s leading PGA Professionals up close.
